Evening Items

We have a hugely exciting Saturday evening planned. NewCon Press will host a special preview launch of local author Neil Williamson’s new short story collection Secret Language. We hope to follow this with an authors’ reading session and then, to round off the evening, the convention disco will be run by The Cosmic Dead, who some of you may remember from Satellite 4. The disco theme is Out of this World and costumes on that deliberately broad theme are welcome. Come as an ambassador for an alien species, a celestial object, or both! The Satellite Dead Laika Party (named in honour of the first dog in space) will take place on Sunday evening and, if we still have any energy left, there will be a pub quiz.
