We have had a number of enquiries over the special room rate for Satellite 5 at the Marriott Hotel. Just to clarify the issue, the room rate does include full breakfast.

Ed Buckley - Satellite 5's second Guest of Honour
Satellite 5 is delighted to announce that Glasgow-based SFF artist Ed Buckley will be our second Guest of Honour. Ed is well-known for his fine artwork and wider contributions to the science fiction community over many years. The convention will feature a retrospective of his work titled 'Ed’s Early Daze' showcasing some of his considerable output.

Supporting Con-or-bust
Satellite 5 is proud to support Con-or-Bust, a fan-run charity helping people of color/non-white people attend SFF conventions . The charity describes itself as a 'not-for-profit organization whose mission is to increase racial and ethnic diversity in the production of and audience for speculative fiction'.

Helsinki in 2017!
Congratulations to the Finnish team on their successful selection as the hosts of the 2017 Worldcon!
It's a bit too soon for them to have updated their site from a bid to a convention, but watch this space: Helsinki in 2017, or look for more details on their Twitter feed.
